Architectural Control Committee Are you considering a home improvement project? Will it be visible from the exterior of your property? Examples include, but not limited to: painting, siding replacement, roof replacement, fences, patio covers, room additions, swimming pools, sidewalks & driveways, major landscaping, etc. Please be sure to consult the governing neighborhood covenants (Article V and Article VI) which can help guide you during your design and construction. Architectural guidelines are not intended to arbitrarily control property, but rather are an additional means of fulfilling the Ashton Village Homeowner's Association's duty to its members to maintain standards which provide for a beautiful community and protect property values. While seeking the approval of the Architectural Control Committee may trouble some owners, it is important to note that the enforcement of architectural guidelines have been upheld in a court of law. All homeowners are required to submit an application to, and gain the approval of, the Architectural Control Committee prior to beginning any project that will be visible from the exterior of the property (front, back and sides).
